CAGELCO II believes that electricity does not only power our homes but is also an inevitable part in bringing progress and development to the society and economy. Living up with the challenges, CAGELCO II continues to be one along with the other 120 electric cooperatives in the country, fulfilling its mandate and going beyond the borders of rural electrification.

CAGELCO II HISTORY

CAGELCO II IS A NON STOCK, NON PROFIT, SERVICE ORIENTED ORGANIZATION.

On September 01, 1978, CAGELCO II took over the operation of Aparri Electric Plant, including18 personnel with an initial franchise area of 16 municipalities in the northern part of Cagayan.

In 1983, the lone district of Apayao was also integrated in the coverage area and it was in 1992 when Calayan Island was added to the coop franchise area thus bringing the total number of municipalities to 21.
