DEATH ASSISTANCE

To provide assistance to the heirs of member-consumer-owners who have died and to keep our consumer masterlist updated, CAGELCO II has implemented the MCO Death Assistance Program.

This financial assistance may only be claimed up to three (3) months from the time of death of the registered member-consumer-owner.

The amount of FIVE THOUSAND PESOS (Php5,000.00) shall be given  to a member-consumer-owner through his/her heir to whom the account shall be named after it has been changed as long as the following pre-requisites are met:

  • Must be a bonafide member of the Cooperative for the last two (2) years;
  • Must be a member of good standing (no unpaid bills) upon application  of the claim;
  • Regardless of how many accounts the consumer has, the claim shall only be applied to the principal account. However, all account shall be changed to the name of the claimant.

STEPS IN APPLYING DEATH BENEFIT ASSISTANCE

  1. Visit the nearest CAGELCO II Sub-Office and approach the Consumer Assistance Officer (CAO).
  • Present and accomplish the following documents:
  • Death Certificate of the registered member-consumer-owner
  • One (1) Valid Identification Card of the Claimant
  • Change Name Form from CAGELCO II
  • Upon evaluation and approval of the submitted documents, you shall be notified thru text to claim the financial assistance.
  • Change Name shall be effected upon endorsement and approval of the Board.
  • Teller shall have the death benefit properly received by the heir.

SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT

Our Senior Citizen Member-Consumer-Owners may avail a 5% discount which shall only be applied to the following bill components:  Generation Charge, Transmission Charge, System Loss Charge, and Distribution, Supply & Metering (DSM) Charge under the following qualifications:

  • The account must be registered to the Senior Citizen.
  • Monthly consumption should not exceed to 100kWh
  • The discount will only be given to one (1) household regardless of the number of Seniors residing therein
  • The discount will only be valid for one (1) year. Renewal of applications is a must and best to notify concerned Sub-Office

STEPS IN APPLYING FOR THE SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT

  1. Visit the nearest CAGELCO II Sub-Office and approach the Consumer Assistance Officer (CAO).
  • Present and accomplsih the following documents:
  • Power bill receipts named after the registered Senior Citizen Member-Consumer-Owner
  • One (1) Valid Identification Card of the registered Senior Citizen reflecting birthdate
  • Senior Citizen Form from CAGELCO II
  • An Authorization Leter is required if a Senior Citizen wish to send a representative to process the application.

The Senior Citizen subsidy shall be applied for the next billing period upon completion of the requirements and approval of your application.
