After two long years since the outbreak of the pandemic, CAGELCO II successfully conducted their 38th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) with a hybrid set-up last September 17, 2022 at the CAGELCO II Multi-purpose Gymnasium, Aparri, Cagayan. This was the first AGMA that was simultaneously broadcasted in a satellite venue at Pamplona Sports and Cultural Center, and live streamed via CAGELCO II’s Official Facebook Page. OIC, General Manager Engr. Rudolph Q. Adviento and Board President, Dir. Doroteo S. Garde, led the proceedings of the AGMA with this year’s theme: “LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND: Achieving Social Equitability through Rural Electrification and Empowerment of Filipino Communities.”

The assembly began at nine in the morning (9AM) with a combined total of 10,554 registered (online and on-site) Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs). Hon. Emmanuel P. Juaneza, Administrator of the National Electrification Administration (NEA), graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor and Speaker and firmly emphasized its strong partnership with CAGELCO II. He further lauded CAGELCO II’s exemplary performance and attainment of a Triple A rating – the highest rating given to Electric Cooperatives for attaining 100% in the over-all performance assessment of the NEA.

At the same time, the six (6) newly elected Board of Directors from District I, II, III, IV, VI and VII were presented before the general constituency and took their oath of office thereafter with Judge Clifford L. C. Sobrevilla of the 8th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Aparri – Calayan Branch 1 as the Inducting Officer.

Another important highlight of CAGELCO II’s AGMA was the “Ulat Pamunuan para sa MCOs” recounted by its Board President Dir. Doroteo S. Garde where he presented the Cooperative’s 2020 and 2021 accomplishments. After which, the OIC, General Manager presented CAGELCO II’s way forward for 2022-2023.

The event ended in full joy as the MCOs received their prizes from CAGELCO II’s most anticipated raffle draw, where the Rusco Caruzo Tryke Grand Prize was opportunely awarded to Ms. Concepcion Rosales from Centro 6, Aparri.
