August 22, 2024 – CAGELCO II participated in the nationwide Tree Planting, massive Line Clearing and likewise spearheaded a local Coastal Clean-Up in strategic locations within its coverage area to highlight the 15th year celebration of the National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM) which coincided with the 55th Anniversary of the National Electrification Administration.
In a simultaneous tree planting activity today, 100 coconut trees were planted in Centro, Buguey, Cagayan while a total of 80 fruit bearing trees were sown in Zitanga, Ballesteros and Magapit, Lal-lo, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, the coastal areas of Maura, Aparri, Cagayan and Nagattatan, Pamplona, Cagayan were the sites of CAGELCO II’s Clean-Up drive in support of environment protection and preservation.
To underscore further the impact of electricity to its stakeholders, CAGELCO II conducted massive line clearing activities within its coverage area with the aim of ensuring the uninterrupted supply and delivery of electricity that is essential in our everyday lives.
Said activities were led by CAGELCO II’s Board President Marilyn B. Donato & other officers and members of the Board of Directors and General Manager Engr. Rudolph Q. Adviento, management staff and employees.
Likewise, the successful conduct was through the unending support and participation of its Member-Consumer-Owners, Provincial Government of Cagayan, LGUs, DENR, MENRO, Barangay Officials, DepED, PNP, BFP, MDRRMO, Coop Electricians and other civic groups.
CAGELCO II shall continue the month-long celebration of the National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM) to give emphasis on the collective achievements of the Rural Electrification Program through a series of organized activities for the rest of August like the Poster-Slogan Making Contest and Mangrove Planting. ###
